Healthcare architects in a changing industry

As baby boomers come of age, the face of the healthcare industry is changing rapidly. Add to that the speed at which technology is moving, and it makes for a very dynamic environment for healthcare architects and architecture. Innovation is at the heart of superior design in the healthcare industry, helping to pave the way for more efficient care, and more groundbreaking research.

Healthcare architecture reflects the personality of a community while demonstrating the dedication of its founders and board. But in order to communicate that vision beyond inception, experienced healthcare architects must be consulted. These seasoned professionals work closely with communities to enhance and design healthcare architecture to inspire function and innovation.

CDH Partners architects design innovative digital full-service hospital

Innovation can happen. CDH Partners was commissioned by DeKalb County to build Georgia's first full service digital hospital, the DeKalb Medical Center at Hillandale. This 191,000 square foot facility incorporates dozens of healthcare architecture details including the use of natural light, seven waiting areas, complete internet connectivity, and faux fireplaces to offer a sense of comfort.

Attesting to the success of the commission, the DeKalb Medical Center is in fact the third phase of a healthcare architecture project begun in 1994. The newest addition includes 100 patient rooms.
