Center for Total Cancer Care – Hillandale
The Center for Total Cancer Care located at the Hillandale Medical Center is a contemporary facility that offers all aspects of holistic, patient-centered cancer care and treatment. This facility was included in the original master plan created by architects for DeKalb Medical Hospital at Hillandale.
Officials for the hospital wanted this structure to be as striking as it is functional. They asked designers to create a center where cancer patients could receive total care and treatment in an atmosphere that is comfortable and inviting.
The result is a state of the art facility that provides a wide range of medical services. A warm color palette, eclectic wall designs, durable flooring, and well-appointed lighting blend together to create an attractive and highly functional facility.
This attractive contemporary space is a friendly environment offering wireless Internet and other amenities. Brushed aluminum is used throughout the facility to add clean contemporary lines, light, a sense of solidness, and spaciousness. A covered canopy greets visitors and guests.
This innovative facility was the first planned digital hospital in Georgia. One of the advantages of an all-digital hospital is that patient information is available instantly– eliminating paperwork and duplicate tests and allowing doctors to make faster, more informed decisions leveraging the advances of information technology.
