The Toccoa Cancer Center is part of the Northeast Georgia Health system and serves the oncology needs for seven surrounding counties. Through the use of spaces that create a pleasing environment for the patient, the center provides radiation, infusion and chemotherapy treatment. The facility houses linear accelerator and simulator rooms that are constructed into the hillside for radiation shielding. The chemo infusion room allows four patients to be treated at one time, contains four exam rooms and offers post treatment and follow-up care. This center also offers cancer education classes to the community, and performs clinical trials to research the latest cancer treatments.
