Toccoa Cancer Center

Project Details:

Location: Toccoa, GA
Size: 6,400 SF
Client/Owner: Northeast Georgia Health System

Project Scope:

As a part of the Northeast Georgia Health System, this facility serves the oncology needs of seven surrounding counties. The center provides radiation therapy with spaces created to offer a pleasing environment to the patient. The facility contains Linear accelerator and simulator rooms that are constructed into the hillside for radiation shielding. The chemo infusion room allows four patients to be treated at one time. The facility is equipped with four exam rooms to offer post treatment and follow-up care. Services include community cancer education and clinical trials for new cancer treatments.

CDH did the original Cancer Center for Northeast Georgia Health
System and did the Linear Accelerator replacement project in 2014 when it came time to upgrade the equipment.
