Tower & Church Bistro at Kennestone

The client envisioned a café that could serve as a place of respite for the hospital and as a place for healthy dining for area businessmen and women. This inviting Bistro welcomes visitors with the look and appeal of a highend cafe.

Natural finishes of stone and wood create an atmosphere of warmth and comfort. Rich earth tone glass tiles, along with stone counter tops, and tile floors further define the space. A focal point upon entry is the brick oven for specialty pizzas. A serving line that is open to the kitchen area reveals the upscale approach to dining—a goal for the owner who wanted to create a space where visitors could watch the chef and his staff work. Another feature element is a large woven wood wall along the back wall of the space.

Dimmer controlled accent lighting, and over- head lighting allow the ambiance to change in early evening hours. Designers also made use of the natural light along the adjacent corridor with a pattern of acrylic panels with detailing of natural grasses and reeds that serve as a division between the corridor and the interior dining. Booths align this wainscot wall; and a wall opposite the serving line, organize the space. Guests may chose to sit at a booth, a table, or a higher seat in the food bar area.
