The Academic and Performing Arts Building, designed by CDH Partners, added classrooms, adminstrative and faculty offices a theater, music department, a small library, seminar room and an art gallery to the Kennesaw State campus. The design scheme separates performance and instructional program elements in an elongated L-shape structure bordering a wooded hillside. The lobby entrance is oriented to the existing pedestrian circulation of the University. The 300 seat theater, later renamed the Stillwell Theater, includes a 65 foot high working fly-loft. The music department include rehersal spaces, and the art gallery displays both student and professional artisits’ work.
