This phase of the expansion of Cedar Shoals HS was comprised an Arts Center and Gymnasium. The two opposing structures, to the northern and southern end of the primary entry to existing buildings, formed a courtyard and turn about to address pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

The Art Center addition provides a 300 seat auditorium with theatrical lighting, a set design shop, rehearsal space, fine arts classrooms and music suites for the band and chorus. The new gymnasium building is equipped with built-in bleachers and locker rooms, administrative offices and educational spaces.
