Chase Street Elementary School
Chase Street Elementary has long been a landmark in the Athens/Clarke County community. The original campus, built in 1922, is rich in history, and the building has been beautifully renovated to meet the needs of a modern school. The historical front of the existing campus was renovated to preserve the building style and now houses the administrative staff, as well as the family engagement functions and community outreach.
The new structure was designed to complement the architecture of the original building, as well as the surrounding neighborhood. It consists of the core building which houses the media center, cafeteria and gymnasium; situated between two classroom wings, which have twelve classrooms each.
