The Clarke County School District commissioned CDH Partners to design a new facility to accommodate 635 students. Dispersed into forty instructional units, the facility is filled with natural lighting through the use of clerestory windows. Since an existing middle school campus adjoins the site, the incorporation of a combined bus loop and loading area maximizes traffic flow efficiency and site usage for both facilities. The heavily wooded site is maintained on the north and west property boundaries as a buffer to the nearby commercial development.
