Wellstar Cobb Hospital, with the addition of four state-of-the-art surgical room suites, has expanded its operating room capacity by thirty-three percent. The suites in the Barrett Surgery Center are equipped with the latest technology for surgical procedures.  A ten bed PACU was also included in the addition.

The expansion contains a patient registration and a family waiting area in order to facilitate  the process for patients who need pre-operative assessment. The ten pre-operative/post operative patient rooms were renovated by adding new floor and interior finishes and by providing more open space to ease work flow.
