Douglas Hospital Intervention Lab

The Intervention Lab at Douglas Hospital was designed to facilitate the relocation of the administration area to another area of the hospital, while the outpatient/inpatient imaging areas were still operating during the new lab construction. Before this project was completed, the outpatient and inpatient imaging areas were isolated from each other in separate areas of the hospital. CDH Partners designed the new lab with a central corridor to allow patients and staff a direct connection to the outpatient/inpatient areas. The Intervention Lab was designed and constructed to allow the space to be upgraded for Cath lab procedures. Interior color finishes were chosen to be reminiscent of the calming sea.
