The Church of the Apostles
The sighting of the new sanctuary required an aggressive approach. The Master Plan called for the footprint of the sanctuary to be located in the front of the property. The Church of the Apostles, with its Gothic-styled campus, is one of Atlanta’s most visible landmarks. The sanctuary is a warm transitional space where slate floors, regal stained glass windows and traditional pews combine with open space, clean design, and light-reflecting colors for an intimate yet vibrant worship setting. Special design considerations were taken for the technical equipment used by the church’s audio/video production and broadcast ministries. An existing building was extensively renovated for classroom and multi-purpose use. The most recent addition was a five-story educational building.
