We are seeking an Intern II Architecture to assist Project Architects and design teams with the production of design and construction documents, including but not limited to participation in early design phases (in order to gain exposure to the creative process), inputting hand drawn sketches into the drafting software, the integration of red lines into construction documents, and participation in the development and creation of graphic presentation materials.

The position may create and develop basic concepts and details of construction documents such as refinement of floor plans, door schedules, general details and code research. The Architectural Intern II may attend meetings and participate in communication with clients and contractors in order to gain exposure and training in project management.

Minimum qualifications 

  • B. Arch, NAAP Accredited.
  • Education Major: Architecture, required.
  • REVIT proficiency required.
  • Proficient user of Photoshop, LUMION and/or other design presentation software.

The Interior Designer is responsible for producing high quality project design deliverables in both construction documents and FF&E. They may work independently as lead designer on small to medium projects with guidance/oversight from Senior Designers and/or Firm Principals and may assist Senior Interior Designers on high complexity projects as part of a larger team. They can work on all phases of development including Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration. They will be responsible for budgeting hours, cost control of interior finishes, and coordination of interior design with the project architect/manager and engineering disciplines.

The Interior Designer will be responsible for all interior design code compliance, specifications, construction documents, and document coordination with other disciplines. They will attend meetings and communicate with clients and contractors, specific to interior design scope.

This position is responsible for the management of furniture selection, specification, budgeting, and oversight of furniture installations, as approved by the Senior Interior Designer and the Principal in Charge.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Produces basic BIM models in Revit software to develop interior design concepts
  • Creates preliminary sketches and drafts the concepts into Revit or other software 
  • Organizes design and contract documents in preparation for presentations and construction 
  • Develops details consistent with design intent 
  • Develops interior designs and space plan layouts from initial design options 
  • Produces creative and functional interiors for CDH designs
  • Meets with clients and end users to ensure interior design requirements are met and coordinated with architectural and engineering
  • Manages budgeted hours and schedules to ensure successful and profitable completion of the scope of work 
  • Researches and selects appropriate finishes and innovative design ideas
  • Produces full sets of construction documents related to the interior design of CDH projects
  • Reviews and coordinates interiors drawings with architectural and engineering drawings to ensure integrated project delivery
  • Mentors Design Staff and Interns in developmental areas
  • Reviews and redlines project drawings for content and quality_
  • Makes construction administration site visits to ensure content and quality of design is being met
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to produce high quality, complete sets of drawings for small to medium projects using Revit.
  • Competency in all aspects of design processes and construction detailing typically acquired through 2-5 years of commercial experience including specifications, construction documents and contract administration
  • Demonstrated knowledge of furniture systems and specifications, finish materials, artwork and lighting. 
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a team of professionals and consultants to meet project objectives on time and within scope and budget.
  • Effective resource management and project budgeting skills
  • Knowledge of codes and regulations
  • Successful project and client management experience and abilities
  • Proficiency in Revit (a must) Photoshop, LUMION, and/or other design presentation software preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated presentation skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate efficient time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking full-time Architectural Designers of various experience levels to assist design teams with the production of design and construction documents, including participation in early design phases to gain exposure to the creative process, inputting hand drawn sketches into Revit, the integration of red lines into construction documents, and to participate in the development and creation of graphic presentation materials. 

Minimum qualifications include a five-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of architecture with 1-4 years of relevant work experience. Revit proficiency required.

The Project Architect / Designer, Architecture positions are responsible for the development of project design intent, and for the production of complete, accurate, and well-coordinated documents. They will also be responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating projects of varying complexity and/or multiple projects simultaneously.

Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Coordinate and supervise Project Team. Direct and coordinate consultants as needed.
  • Adhere to both CDH and the Client guidelines and meet deadlines within budget for each project.
  • Plan and develop architectural projects.
  • Meet with Client and Contractor(s) to provide interpretation of contract documents.
  • Make design and documentation decisions using discretion and good judgment.
  • Assist in proposal/marketing efforts.
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of all project related tasks.
  • Assist the Project Manager in establishing the project budget and program development.
  • Travel to Project Job Site or Design Office as required to facilitate design and construction.
  • Contribute as required to the overall quality and success of the project, studio, and firm.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • May directly supervise Architects. Responsibilities directly involving subordinates include: training, planning, assigning and directing work and aiding in problem resolution.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an NAAB accredited program.
  • Registered Architect preferred
  • Strong understanding of building systems and documentation.
  • Strong Construction Documentation (CD) skills.
  • Ability to manage and create work in Revit. Proficiency in Photoshop, LUMION, and/or other design presentation software preferred.
  • Strong communication, coordination and organization skills.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team of professionals to meet project objectives.
  • Competency in all aspects of design and documentation typically acquired through 5-10 years of professional commercial architectural experience.
